Breakfast Lunch

School meals have more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. They are focused on current dietary guidelines. Elementary and middle school students are offered a minimum of 1/2 cup fruit and 1/2 cup vegetables with each meal; and high school students are offered a minimum of 1 cup of fruit and 1 cup of vegetables with each meal. Students must take at least one choice of fruit or vegetable daily with their meal to have a complete meal; students refusing both the fruit and vegetable component will be charged a la carte prices for the items on their tray. Additionally, all grains offered at lunch and breakfast are Whole Grain Rich (WGR) as defined by guidelines issued by the CSDE Bureau of Health and Nutrition.
